FWords poets with REMEMBER SARO-WIWA in Liverpool
As part of the continuing campaign for a permanent memorial for Ken Saro-Wiwa, FWords join the campaign event in Liverpool at the
INTERNATIONAL SLAVERY MUSEUM, ALBERT DOCK, LIVERPOOL . 23rd to 25th April 2008
Simon 'Symurai' Murray performs and Khadijah Ibrahiim take to the stage at Tate Liverpool Museum and Liverpool University.
Thurs 24th April, 6pm - 9pm, Live Music: from future superstar Nneka, with a band of West African musicians, an exclusive set from `Afropean` DJ Eric Soul, and performance poetry from Symurai as part of Late at Tate Liverpool. Tate Liverpool, Albert Docks, free entry.
Fri 25th April, 8pm - late, Dance the Guns to Silence: Music, poetry and activism at the Saro-Wiwa Bar, with Niger delta singer Nneka, African drumming and an extended set from DJ Eric Soul, plus performances from two leading poets, Khadijah Ibrahiim and Symurai. Liverpool Guild of Students, 160 Mount Pleasant, free entry
